Maxcy Grasso
Maxcy is a third-year politics, philosophy, and economics major at Northeastern University. She is passionate about issues of social justice and policy, specifically housing policy in the United States. Previously, Maxcy interned at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) where she spent time studying how randomized evaluations can be used to find programs that alleviate poverty.
Angela Ly is currently pursuing a degree in Broadcast Journalism at Richland College and an editor for the Richland Chronicle focusing on political news and human profiles. Prior to attending school again, she was a 5th-grade teacher in Austin for four years after receiving a bachelors of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She has taught nearly 400 students with varying cultural and religious backgrounds. Angela's passions will always be working with disadvantaged youth and education reform and thoroughly enjoys discussing and researching prison reform, environmental sustainability and racial equity.
